Dina is a Russian film director dedicated to the history and present of Russia. Her latest project includes German sound designer Johan, whose grandfather disappeared during World War II in the USSR. Their journey through Soviet forced labour camps becomes a partnership that spills over into love. Dina (and the director Toma Selivanova) seek, through their artistic work, to question national traumas that still haunt the country.
