It is essentially composed by screenings that include films from all over the world, in registers such as animation, documentary and fiction, having two main strands: IndieJúnior Families and IndieJúnior Schools. Who is IndieJúnior for?

IndieJúnior is aimed at all children and young people from 4 months to 15 years of age. For babies between 4 and 30 months old, the immersive cinema experience is offered with the accompaniment of relatives or guardians at Baby Cinema. Thereafter, the cinema screenings are organised in two groups - Families and Schools - programmed for segmented age groups: +3 years, +6 years, +9 years, +12 years and +15 years.

Families
Family screenings are held specifically during holidays and weekends and all include a presentation. Their main goal is to unite parents and children around a common activity that enriches both parties and contributes to the deepening of emotional bonds. The programme consists of the best short and feature films from the IndieJúnior competition.

Schools
IndieJúnior for schools is composed of several screenings for pre-school, first, second and third cycle.

IndieJúnior Award
The IndieJúnior Audience Award is given according to the votes of the audience at the Schools and the Family screenings. It is the audience's sole responsibility to attribute the prize to the film of their preference.
