An exploration of how images composed by Artificial Intelligence can become an object of fascination, especially when we try to use them to excavate an obsession.
This film questions, as many will inevitably do in years to come, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the creation of images. Arthur Chopin’s great achievement here is to show us how much this intelligence is (still only?) a mirror of Humanity. AI works through prompts, combining and amalgamating pre-existing images into a new form it has conceived, which is the result of the manipulation of human records and memories. Above all, it is imbued with all the prejudices inherent to being human; the racism, the sexism, the excess. (Ana Cabral Martins)
