A metaphor for the female condition that presents women as cultivated flowers that are expected to maintain a pre-established system. Until the seed of something can shake up the status quo.
Everyone knows it, and everyone expects it: girls are born and grown like flowers. Every season, little seeds are planted in their respective pots, from which beautiful maidens are grown, watered, pruned and nurtured until they are ready to be presented to society. Outside, the gentlemen play cricket, hunt foxes from their horses and the hens continue to lay eggs every day, no matter how rainy or sunny it is. Within this garden, whose weeds are trampled and plucked and whose bushes are trimmed to the millimetre, a curious young girl and an ill-fated woman are caught up in a perverse vanity fair that provides a facade for a much more dangerous structural disaster.
