Anima, the Latin word for air, breath, wind and vitality translates here into a slow wandering. The air flowing through an ocarina guides the movements of light and shadow as they reveal themselves, leaving their burnt impression on film.
Elements of the natural world immersed in the dim are animated by impressions of light and shadow, glimpsed here and there in brief flashes, points of light that burn through the blue and black. We discover the transient forms of this landscape shrouded in mystery as if under a spell, to the sound of the wind or the breath coming from a musical instrument that seems to summon whatever beings inhabit it. In the end, the call is answered. The enchantment is upon us as well. (Cláudia Marques)
