The IndieLisboa program, as well as the IndieJunior program dedicated to the families, will now take place at the end of the summer, between August 21st and September 6th in the usual venues – Cinema São Jorge, Culturgest, Cinema Ideal and Cinemateca Portuguesa.
But in order to celebrate the return of students to the classrooms, the IndieJunior school program remains as planned. From April 29th and May 14th, with the return of the schools activities, IndieJunior sessions will be available in its facilities.
Teachers interested in taking IndieJunior to their schools must register through the link www.indiejunior.com/escolaslisboa, where they can also learn more about the program.
Registration has a price of € 1.5 per student (teachers and assistants are exempt) and payment can be made closer to the date of the session.
We hope to mark the return of students to the classrooms with an offer of unmissable films to make us think and dream!
Our 18th edition will again occupy the calendar at the end of the summer, from August 21st to September 6th in 2021.
Just like last year, we return this year to its usual venues in Lisbon – Cinema São Jorge, Culturgest, Cinema Ideal and Cinemateca Portuguesa – at the end of the summer. The decision to hold the festival again at this time was made considering that on the dates previously announced it would not be possible to keep the desired structure of the festival considering the restrictions in force during those days.
To celebrate the reopening of cinemas in Portugal and also to mark the week in which the festival was supposed to start, at the end of April a special session will be held at the Cinemateca Portuguesa, in which the full program of the retrospective of the recently passed French filmmaker Sarah Maldoror will be announced.
Especially for the IndieJunior school program, the section dedicated to the youngest, the original dates will be kept, since for the first time this year it will take place inside schools and not in movie theaters. Schools interested in taking IndieJunior to their facilities must register through the link www.indiejunior.com/escolaslisboa, where they can also learn more about the program, which will be held between April 29th and May 14th.
The program dedicated to the families of IndieJunior will take place alongside the other activities of the festival, from 21 August to 6 September.
