WARM UP at Musa de Marvila? Yes, please!

This year IndieLisboa takes place a month later than the Festival’s usual dates, but it’s never too early for a WARM UP! Marvila’s MUSA opens its doors to us again so we can start warming up for the next edition!

On the 13th we start warming up in the afternoon so that the steps are ready to continue into the night. The party involves DJ sets with programmers, musicians and judges who this year help us kick off the 21st edition of the festival. This edition will feature 11 days of cinema, music, concerts and parties between May 23rd and June 2nd.

Entry is free and the party starts at 4pm with the DJ sets starting at 7pm:

HellAna will provide music at Terraço for a late afternoon anchored by the names of IndieMusic’s programming, but which goes far beyond that: flamenco pop (and beyond), hip hop and queer fado, journeys through the 80s and 90s of punk, post-hardcore and rock — flying to disco, to the classics, lost gems and Caroline Polachek.

No need for words: Lamos Ropes nights are rock & roll nights.

Ricardo Martins has been looking for new paths for his music through bands such as the electric duo Lobster, Adorno, I Had Plans, or his collaboration with Filho da Mãe. At the moment he has the keys to the rhythm of Pop Dell’Arte, Jibóia, Papaya , Chão Maior, Somecena, from the duo with Leonor Arnaut, Deriva and a handful of other projects. The solo path has been followed since 2009, having released Furacão by Londrina Jeff in 2018, Incerteza Absoluta by Revolve in 2021, Chão de Cobras (2022), and the most recent Ocaso (2023), also by Vimaranense Revolve. In the Theater, we can hear him as a regular collaborator of the JGM Company, or music for the Iberian Theater’s plays, as well as in the Silvar Project, where he composes for large groups.

Program Director at Rádio SBSR. Author of the program “A Floresta Encantada” (SPA Award for Best Radio Program 2023). It is also ACID ACID. He has two albums, including the record “JODOROWSKY”, considered by Blitz as one of the 50 best national albums of 2020. Very much in the spirit of radio, we can expect to hear from the most danceable indie to electronica, passing through psychedelic, or from post-punk to darkwave. Everything is possible!
