C. Tangana is a global phenomenon. He’s also an artist who values his ability to write lyrics, who doesn’t feel totally part of hip hop culture, who likes Tolstoy and who thinks he can’t sing — but does it anyway. C. Tangana is a Spanish rapper that has conquered the world and now presents his vulnerability as an artist in a documentary about the production of a concert, in a struggle between artistic vision and logistical limitations.
A globally successful album – El Madrileño – and an ambitious, explosive and sold-out tour, supported by an imposing live show that brought together around 50 people on stage, around a table worthy of a real banquet, are the basic ingredients of this film. From the debut of the album to the stage, behind the scenes of the tour, the negotiations, the anguish, the rehearsals, the complicity, the difficulties, the spirit of unity and even the despair that happens away from the public eye, during a whirlwind of concerts that C. Tangana gave in Spain and Latin America. (Helena César)
