Doubt creeps in as Cosmo, a space traveller, addresses his gender identity. In need of clarity and change, he wants to risk crossing the Butterfly Nebula. His spaceship, on the other hand, has a personality of her own. Cosmo will need to negotiate change with a certain loss of control.
‘Fly with me, Past Jupiter and Mars… come and see… fields dappled bright with stars… galaxies in astral seas above… on cosmic paths we’ll trace Cosmo’s journey into space’, wise phrases taken from the 80s children’s series “Once upon a time… space” that could be adapted to this low sci-fi film by Caio Soares. Our Cosmo is a space traveller who begins to question his gender identity. The spaceship, like a giant dinosaur egg, is heading, at Cosmo’s will, for the butterfly nebula that is said to have a transformative power. But the spaceship has ideas about it and seems to be afraid of change. And because our perception is constantly questioning itself, we take a turn and contradict ourselves. Confused?
