Watching, thinking about and discussing cinema is the most important practice for becoming true film buffs. The activities carried out at the film club focus on watching films with space for meaningful discussion, as these are activities that generate new activities related to cinema, knowledge, programming, accountability, decision-making and relations with the local community.

I Programme a Film Screening
I Programme a Film Screening é uma atividade educativa que convida alunos de várias escolas a participarem no programa IndieJúnior. As sessões reúnem grupos escolares do ensino secundário, durante o segundo semestre do ano letivo, em sessões de exibição e discussão de curtas e longas-metragens, cuja autoria provém de diferentes países. Em conjunto com a equipa de programação do IndieJúnior, irão escolher um conjunto de filmes para o programa do festival dedicado às crianças.
Short films in Debate
Curtas em Debate (Short Films in Debate) is a one-off initiative that brings cinema to schools (or partner venues) through the collective screening of a short film chosen in consultation with the school community. After the screening, there is an open discussion with guests from different fields — from cinema to education, including the social sciences — who share their perspectives and stimulate debate. This activity promotes critical thinking, active participation and a taste for group reflection on what is seen on screen.
Non-Professional Juries
In the context of the festivals we organise, it is possible to offer prizes awarded by groups of judges, students/teachers/ordinary people, who are knowledgeable viewers and who, in these contexts, watch many films, discuss which ones are the best and make a decision to award a prize to films that are in competition.
