This short film began as a commission to mark the centenary of Gruppo Laminazione Sottile, specialists in the field of aluminum processing. The film ends up as something more experimental than one could’ve imagined, linking artistic and political, intellectual and environmental realms, with the factory as a space (and time) untethered from its practical functions.

Through a commission for the centenary of the aluminium manufacturer Gruppo Laminazione Sottile, the artist Adrian Paci thinks about the factory, the workers and the labor, transforming the factory into a collective body in which the workers and the material share and reflect a common destiny. An organic and performative dialogue. Paci’s gaze is not just that of a mere observer. Through the exquisite work of sound, editing and choreographed gestures, the factory becomes a space for creation. (Carlos Ramos)
