The second weekend of IndieJunior

The last weekend of IndieJunior is coming and it’s full of news for all families. The Saturday and Sunday mornings are filled with Baby Cinema sessions, dedicated to babies between 6 months and 3 years old. The screening plays five short films full of color, sounds, and discoveries.

On Saturday, the session Entire Family Shorts +3 takes place once again, but now at Cinema São Jorge, at 11:30 AM. For grown ups, there is the Shorts +10 session, at 11:15, at São Jorge, and the second session of IndieJunior’s first feature film – Yuku and the Himalayan Flower, which tells the story of Yuku, who, realizing that his grandmother is leaving forever, decides to go in search of the flower of eternal light, gaining many friendships along the way.

At 3 PM, the workshop Taming a Dragon! will take place at the Palácio Galveias Library and will put children from the age of 9 and up into the practice of making animated films about real objects. This workshop will be repeated on Sunday at 4:45 pm.

Afterwards, at 5:45 pm on Saturday and still at the library, children from 5 years old on will be creating sounds in the Aaaah! Little Boxes, a sound, drawing and movement workshop organized by Baileia – Artes e Infância and based on the film presented in the short film session for children over 8 years old.

On Sunday, the last day of this edition, it starts very fresh with the whole gang at the pool, in the session Cinema at the Pool (6+ years old). There is a morning session at 11:30 AM and an afternoon session at 4:30 PM, and the last tickets are on sale. There will be seven movies around the aquatic theme that can be watched from inside the pool. The most original way to celebrate Mother’s Day.

On Sunday at Cinema São Jorge, there are also the last two film screenings of the edition: Shorts +3, a selection of short films full of color for the younger audience, and Shorts +12, consisting of four short films for the older ones that address issues such as growth, puberty, sexuality, parenting, and friendship.
