Vakho lives a secluded, penitent life in a deserted village in the Kazbegi mountains in Georgia. The trauma that haunts him has no resolution.
Vakho lives the end of his life isolated on Mount Kazbek, in Georgia – the place of Prometheus’ exile. While the titan was punished every night with a visit from an eagle that slowly devoured his liver, Vakho is punished with recurring prophetic nightmares that refer him to his brother’s death. His alienation from all social life, choosing to stay silent and a life dedicated to work was the solution he found, which acts as a punishment for the past event from which he cannot free himself. A moving and genuine portrait of the remorse and suffering of those who can no longer turn back. (Jéssica Pestana)
