Returning to the place where one grew up is to expect that everything will remain the same—people, roundabouts, scents. Danielus, an emigrant in Norway, comes back to sell his parents’ house, but his stay becomes prolonged in a gesture of surrender to the solitude that memory demands of him, a rediscovery of a place that no longer belongs to him, in a daily life infected by several surreal elements.
