This week, IndieLisboa CINECLUBE visited two schools in the centre of Lisbon.
On 20 February, in partnership with CED D. Maria Pia – Casa Pia de Lisboa, it held a film session at the school with students from the audiovisual technical course. The film chosen was Bruno Abib’s Death in August, a short that was part of the national competition at last year’s IndieLisboa. This was followed by an editing workshop with the director and editor, who took the opportunity to give some tips on the work they are doing at school.
On 22 February, in collaboration with the Escola Artística António Arroio, we invited director Duarte Coimbra to show his film Love, Avenidas Novas and then talk to the students. There were lots of questions and conversations around the housing crisis in Lisbon.
