Three people who use the train in San Francisco to commute to work and back, each tell us what it was like to get stuck on the train and the experiences (or fantasies) they had.
Every day we descend the subway stairs into our everyday underground. In the pulsing atomization, do we ever consider the hundreds of parallel inner worlds, equally hypnotized in their self-absorption? And what if there were a system failure that called everything into question? In this film, a momentary halt in the vehicle becomes the starting point for a choral orchestration: a free and collective conjugation of all the thoughts imprisoned in the tunnel. Through a free and dynamic association of images of an anodyne and apocalyptic contemporary setting of industrial society and a soundtrack composed of a complex tapestry of voices, this film launches us into a game between those most intimate inner worlds, never before shared, now together in the carriage in a flaming heat.
