Maurílio and Fidelia live in Cuba, where they have worked together at a funeral home for 17 years. United by love and work, the couple has built a shared life, constantly surrounded by death and its rituals. Through relaxed conversations about decomposing bodies, explanations of the process of preparing the deceased, and a visit to the unusual spaces of the establishment, Maria Salafranca offers a genuine view of this couple’s daily life. With humor and lightness, the film reveals how, for them, death loses the symbolic weight that most people attribute to it, becoming just a natural phase of existence – the final one.
