Despite some initial awkwardness with the dynamics of the restaurant and the family she also shares a roof with, Janica immediately feels integrated and welcome. However, an unexpected event interrupts the state of harmony and immerses the family environment in growing tension. With a bold approach and the use of unconventional techniques, Martina Marasović’s camera captures the sensitive nuances of human interactions and their moments of discomfort, deepening an overall sense of uncertainty and unease.
