For this extended IndieJúnior weekend, we have several programmes for all families. We start the mornings with Cinema de Colo, dedicated to babies between 6 months and 3 years old. The screening will show five short films full of colour, sounds and discoveries.
On Saturday, just before the Outdoor Party, the highlight will be the Shorts for the Entire Family +3 Years Old, in the Emílio Rui Vilar Auditorium, at Culturgest. The cinema screening ends just in time for the party in the garden of Biblioteca Palácio Galveias. Between 4:30 and 7:00 pm, we will play on the grass and listen to the concert Histórias em Canções, by the singer-songwriter Gui Calegari. During the afternoon, we will present two plastic expression workshops, one presented by Orfeu Negro and designed by the art educator Ana Teresa Magalhães, and the other by the pedagogical project Pela Cidade Fora, of EMEL. These workshops are sold out. The cinema continues on Sunday, with three sessions of short films for children aged 3, 6 and 10 between Cinema São Jorge and Cinema Ideal.
On the 1st of May public holiday, we present new proposals. Besides the cinema screenings for children over 8 years old, in Cinema São Jorge, we are showing, for the first time in IndieJúnior, a feature film: Yuku and the Himalayan Flower tells us about Yuku, who, realizing his grandmother is disapearing forever, decides to go in search of the flower of eternal light, gaining many friendships along the way. There is also a sensorial micro-workshop by Baby Cinema, at Cinema São Jorge, an initiative by A Porta Amarela. Entre Poças e Borrifos workshop is for babies between their first and second year of life. At Biblioteca Palácio Galveias, Baileia – Artes e Infância proposes a sound, drawing and movement workshop, where we will make animated drawings. Aaaah! Little Box is based on a film presented in the short film screening for children over 8 years old.
The full programme can be consulted on the Calendar.
