Cineclube IndieLisboa screened last Friday, March 10, Amor, Avenidas Novas (2018) at Escola Secundária Madeira Torres, in Torres Vedras. The portuguese short film, which was in competition at the 15th edition of IndieLisboa, was presented by its director Duarte Coimbra.
Today we will be at Escola Secundária Matias Aires, in Cacém, with director Paulo Carneiro, in a presentation of his 2018 documentary, Bostofrio, which was part of the national competition in the same year; and also at the Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, where Gonçalo Robalo will present his film Os Mortos (2019).
Cineclube IndieLisboa wants to develop new audiences by enabling meetings between schools and the cinema produced in Portugal. At the end of the screenings, we promote a debate around the film presented, in order to think and contextualise it from its social and artistic pertinence, always with the presence of the people who created it. These screenings will take place in schools and universities which IndieLisboa has established a collaboration protocol with. More information can be found at the Cineclube’s page.
