A woman finds someone who lights her cigarette and thus begins a romantic night, on acid.
Everything is raunchy in Sophie Koko Gate’s animated universe. Here there isn’t a finger that doesn’t enter some orifice, a lip that isn’t bitten, or a body part that is not caressed. The director is already known to the festival audience, since in 2019 we screened the short Slug Life in the Boca do Inferno section. But in this new film of hers, all the sensuality of her work is honed and concentrated. The volumes of flesh and fluid with which her characters are constructed break down into close-ups of skin, hair and mucus. And all the gender codes are merged and recombined: scale, gravity, phallus, breasts, ejaculation… The possibility of a meeting of souls ignites a desire that literally sets the world on fire.
