A Dog’s Life

In Eloise’s Summer, a nine-year-old girl discovers the world of her curly hair and Cameroonian roots. Eloise is mixed: her mom is Belgian and her dad is from Cameroon. Though her hair can sometimes be challenging and even painful, she learns to love it and explores the endless possibilities of her hair. She captures her summer adventure in a self-drawn book.

Four children guide us from the entrance to the visiting room of a prison — a place they go twice a week to see their mom or dad. Prisons aren’t built with children in mind, yet in Belgium, over 16,000 kids have a parent behind bars. I’d love to see you gives a voice to the children of prisoners and shows how they end up in a situation they never chose.
