In 11 days of cinema, parties, masterclasses, talks and other activities, there were 263 cinema sessions (18 of which were sold out) hosted by partner venues Cinema São Jorge, Culturgest, Cinema Ideal, Cinemateca Portuguesa or Biblioteca Palácio Galveias, Cinema Fernando Lopes and the Penha de França Swimming Pool.
Partnerships with BPI Fundação La Caixa, EMEL, Canais TVCine, NOVA FCSH, Escola das Artes da Universidade Católica do Porto and MUSA were renewed, and FILMIN, MAX, Gleba and smart made their debut.
Around 30,000 people took part in this edition of the festival, which featured more Cinema na Piscina (with a successful Mouth of Madness session), a sold-out IndieDate and two surprise films that flew from Cannes to IndieLisboa.
This edition also had 533 accredited professionals and, as usual, several activities dedicated to the industry, one of which was IndieLab by NOVA FCSH. The projects that won this year’s Cinema Support Fund and the project that won the Lisbon Screenings Award — No Comboio were also revealed.
IndieLisboa returns in 2025, from May 1st to 11th, with a new selection of titles, but with the same quality of national and international independent cinema.
