Between Us

A short film that plays with different fears and ways of reacting to the unexpected and unknown. We’re in Brussels, it’s late at night, and siblings Ousmane and Tiguidanké just need a little help, which they ask a passing couple for. An uncomfortable moment ensues.

Beyond Beach

Just before the apocalypse, we can still live in an illusion, a pastel-coloured dream. This moment of carelessness is explained by the absolute inability to have a care in the world.

The Lodge

A pair of directors who often combine dance, performance and cinema, this film is part of a trilogy. Here the “lodge” of the title is not in Twin Peaks, but focuses on a group of people who get together in a country cottage to see how they react to each other.

The Revolution Hunter

Nostalgia can be paralysing and that’s what is examined in this short film that explores the relationship with the Portuguese Revolution of 1974, animating an archive photograph to understand what lies between the weariness of the past and the vigour of struggling for a country.

We Are Fine

A couple’s relationship is seen in a decontextualised way, through slides that were found at a flea market in Vienna. These pieces of personal history intersect with the historical context.
