As an original starting point – perhaps even familiar and emotional – we meet Chica, a hen with a much happier fate than many others who end up as lunch. Next, we explore the living ecosystem of HortaFCUL – a permaculture project at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon – and the hens that live there. They play an essential role in a natural life and architecture system that thrives in this space. After a workshop where we get hands-on building homes for these friends, there’s still time for a game in a kitchen.
