Youth (Spring)

This is the opening part of a trilogy of films, which continues with Youth (Hard Times) and Youth (Homecoming), in which Wang Bing follows the same characters in every facet of their lives (whether at work, in their day-to-day professional lives or their friendships and love relationships) over a long period. Here, the director spends a year in Zhili, an industrial city where young people try to work hard to achieve their dreams.
