Often, and wrongly, the value of an animation is seen by the prism of its line and movement. The more “traditionally” beautiful the drawing or more fluid the movements in its frames, the more valuable the animation. It’s this misconception that Shen Jie wants to demystify with Tiger Stabs Tiger by exploring collision repetition, motion stillness, and slow timing.
