The choice of Blixa Bargeld, founder of Einstürzende Neubauten and one of Nick Cave’s Bad Seeds, for the film’s narration and Teho Teardo, Italian musician and collaborator of Lydia Lunch, Cop Shoot Cop and Blixa himself, for the music, says a lot about the universe of Rita Cruchinho Neves’ new film. A gothic, funereal tale, inspired by the association between the brush of a barber and a painter, in blood red.
