Diana Lin (Lu Jian in The Farewell by Lulu Wang) is the protagonist of a dinner that is, at the same time, an unpleasant business meeting and an awkward family reunion. The latter is between the daughter who went to live in America and her father, mother (Lin) and brother.

A family meets at dinner. The daughter has been living in the United States for some time and it’s the first chance that father, mother, and brother have to see her again. But the moment is usurped by a business meeting led by the patriarch, who tries to mix business with pleasure. Diana Lin (Lu Jian of Lulu Wang’s Farewell) is the protagonist. (Ana Cabral Martins)
