Carolina, Carlota, Clara and Constança are four sisters whose parents have insisted, every year, on taking the same picture. In Porto Santo beach, from 2003 to 2024, Clara Figueiredo narrates her childhood memories, which she associates to each of the pictures, reflecting upon the sisters.
‘Between the first and the last photograph, they changed, the world changed, but neither the beach nor the family has.
Since 2003, Carolina, Carlota, Clara and Constança have been ritually photographed by their parents every year.
Clara, the third of the sisters – and the film’s director – reflects on these images that awaken happy memories, reflect on the process of growing up and talk about the bonds of sorority.
