After each edition, Cineclube – Expensão e Educação takes the festivals it organises across the country, promoting extensions in various regions:
- IndieLisboa – International Film Festival
- Extension period throughout the country – May to September
- IndieJúnior Porto – International Children’s and Youth Film Festival
- Extension period throughout the country – February to April
These extensions can take different forms, whether through programming dedicated to children and young people, or through a broader selection of films representative of what can be seen at the festival for adult audiences. The aim is to expand access to both festivals’ programming, taking them across the country. Parallel activities may also be held in association with the extensions.
