IndieLisboa celebrates cinema with the support of partners who believe in culture as a driver of change and a source of inspiration. In 2026, the festival will once again receive support from BPI | Fundação “la Caixa” for the fifth consecutive year, reinforcing its commitment to an accessible, inclusive, and transformative culture. This support reflects an ongoing commitment to culture as a space for knowledge and building the future.
EMEL is cycling with us once again, promoting conscious mobility for all ages. In addition to encouraging sustainable travel, it is also organizing an IndieJúnior workshop through the Pela Cidade Fora project, which focuses on mobility education from an early age. EMEL is also renewing its sponsorship of the Grand Prize for Best Short Film in the International Section.
TVCine channels maintain their prominent role, giving visibility to independent cinema with the IndieLisboa Special on the TVCine Edition channel, and also sponsor the Award for Best Feature Film in the National Competition.
The 23rd edition of IndieLisboa significantly reinforces its commitment to accessibility, expanding the resources available in movie theaters through a strategic partnership with the MEO Foundation, the festival’s Accessibility Patron. As part of this collaboration, all screenings in the National Competition will feature descriptive subtitles, while IndieMusic will include audio description resources. IndieJúnior, on the other hand, IndieJúnior, offers descriptive subtitles and on-screen interpretation in Portuguese Sign Language (LGP) for screenings aimed at middle and high school students, as well as for the feature film Olivia and the Invisible Earthquake.
Gleba returns to sweeten the festival’s busy days, providing snacks for the IndieJúnior sessions of Cinema na Piscina and Film-Debate, supporting volunteer meals, and joining us for happy hours.
To toast the occasion, we’ll once again be serving Dois Corvos craft beers and Johnnie Walker cocktails. We’ll also be featuring Aveleda wines, a first-time participant at the festival. Bellissimo helps keep us awake throughout the 11-day festival with its coffee. These sponsors serve as the driving force and source of energy during IndieLisboa.
