The countdown to IndieJúnior 2026 kicks off with an afternoon designed for children, families, and anyone who wants to get into the festival spirit. On April 18, the Cinemateca Portuguesa will host the IndieJúnior Warm-Up, featuring a short film screening, fun activities, and the CineQuiz Júnior.
Between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., the public can watch a selection of films that have marked recent editions of IndieJúnior, followed by a series of activities on the Cinemateca’s terrace, including a space dedicated to visual arts, books, and readings, as well as the CineQuiz Júnior, a segment designed to test the film knowledge of both children and adults.

The session features five Portuguese and international short films that stood out in previous editions of the festival, winning over younger audiences with their creativity, visual quality, and the power of their stories.
4:00 PM — Activities on the terrace (all ages)
After the screening, families are invited to extend the experience with fun and educational activities, including arts and crafts, a reading area, and the CineQuiz Júnior (this activity requires prior registration via this link, subject to available capacity).
Before the program begins, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., the 39 Degraus restaurant-bar will offer a special family menu, available by reservation only and subject to seating availability: 960 396 370
The IndieJúnior Warm-Up thus marks the start of the countdown to the IndieLisboa festival, with an afternoon of cinema, games, and sharing designed for all ages.
