The winning films of the audience award are now known! As always, the public is also the jury. Through the Audience Award, we allow everyone to participate in choosing three winning films: Feature Film (prize of 1000 euros), Short Film (prize of 750 euros) and an IndieJunior film (prize of 500 euros).
The sections taking part in the audience award are: International Competition, National Competition, Brand New, Smart7, Silvestre, IndieMusic, IndieJunior, Boca do Inferno, and Rizoma.
In the feature films, Orlando Pantera‘s film, which was part of the festival’s most sonorous section aka IndieMusic, was the most loved by the audience. It’s a tender film that seeks to map and eternalise the life of the Cape Verdean musician. Among the short films, Maria Inês Gonçalves’ film from the National Competition stands out, in which the intimate imagination recounts the story of the mediaeval infanta D. Beatriz of Portugal. Finally, the festival’s youngest audience from IndieJunior chose the film Autocarro as their favourite, an animation that also travels through Ágata’s childhood imagination to talk about migration in a journey through the fantastic world.
