Industry: Days of Cinema, Inspiration and Networking

IndieLisboa 2025 will also be a meeting point for filmmakers, producers, distributors and other industry professionals, with Industry Days taking place from 2 to 4 May at Culturgest. This programme promotes inspiration, networking and the strengthening of links between the national and international film sectors, reinforcing the festival’s role as an active development and visibility platform for independent cinema.

Planned activities include the IndieLisboa Lab, which supports projects with inclusive narratives; the Portuguese Film Fund, which offers support for post-production; the Lisbon Screenings, where films in the final stages are presented to international professionals; and the Lisbon Talks, with debates that cross cinema, science, academia and industry.

There will also be masterclasses dedicated to contemporary filmmaking, sound and music rights. Both the Lisbon Talks and the Masterclasses take place during the festival, from 1 to 11 May.

The Lisbon Talks at IndieLisboa 2025 bring together five panel discussions with guests from different areas to discuss the festival’s emerging themes. Held at Culturgest, they address issues such as essay cinema in the work of Charlie Shackleton, crossovers in the European short film scene and the impact of artificial intelligence on filmmaking.

*Free entry upon collection of a ticket one hour before the screening.

This year there will be two free masterclasses at the festival. A masterclass dedicated to the work of Alexis Langois, which takes place on 2 May at 4.30pm in Culturgest’s Debate Room, and a masterclass on copyright in music with the support of Europa Creativa’s Media Desk and Music Library & SFX. The latter takes place on 3 May at the same time and place.
