The IndieMusic section sets the tone for IndieLisboa\u2019s parties and celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 1<\/strong>, at Damas<\/strong>, following the screening of Francisca Marv\u00e3o\u2019s film Quem Tem Medo de Zurita de Oliveira?<\/em>, we\u2019ll celebrate the legacy of this pioneer of Portuguese rock with a concert featuring various performances<\/strong>, to be announced soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Closing Party<\/strong> takes place at Casa Capit\u00e3o on May 9<\/strong> and features three films from the music section, filling three rooms of the Lisbon venue with distinct musical styles: The Blind Couple From Mali<\/strong><\/em>, by Ryan Marley, about the Malian duo Amadou & Mariam; Bubbling Baby<\/strong><\/em>, by Sharine Rijsenburg, a documentary about the bubbling music genre, founded by Caribbean immigrants in the Netherlands; and Massa Funkeira<\/strong><\/em>, by Ana Rieper, focusing on the funk-putaria phenomenon that emerged from Brazilian favelas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival\u2019s evening program kicks off on April 18<\/strong> with the IndieLisboa Warm-Up at Purex<\/strong> in Bairro Alto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For social gatherings, the official bars for 2026 are Casa do Comum and Damas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

IndieDate – Romantic dates (or not)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An opportunity for anyone looking to make new connections during the festival. Whether it\u2019s for a romantic date or a friendship with fellow film lovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, IndieDate presents Erupcja<\/em><\/strong>, by Pete Ohs<\/strong>, at Cinema Ideal<\/strong>. A feature film about love and volcanic relationships starring British singer and actress Charli XCX<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The screening will be followed by a quiz<\/strong> and the Festa da Mensagem, the traditional party of the Purex club, hosted by Manel Moreira.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

For the fourth consecutive year, we\u2019re back to floating and relaxing with Cinema at the Pool<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In partnership with the Penha de Fran\u00e7a Municipal Pool<\/strong>, the aquatic screenings will take place on May 2 and 3<\/strong>, with options for both children and adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the evening, feature films ideal for adults will be screened: Les vacances de Monsieur Hulot <\/em><\/strong>(Jacques Tati, 1953), Barbarella<\/em><\/strong> (Roger Vadim, 1968), and Monty Python and the Holy Grail <\/em><\/strong>(Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones, 1975).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning and afternoon, the program includes a selection of short films from the IndieJunior<\/strong> lineup, aimed at children and families.

Mouth of Madness Marathon 411\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Mouth of Madness Marathon<\/strong> returns to Cinema Ideal <\/strong>for a late-night screening of bizarre films<\/strong>, featuring some of the festival\u2019s strangest titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the course of 6 hours<\/strong>, 7 short films and 3 feature-length films<\/strong> will be screened: Camp<\/strong><\/em> by Avalon Fast, Fucktoys<\/strong><\/em> by Annapurna Sriram, and We Put the World to Sleep<\/strong><\/em> by Adrian \u021aofei.
