What remains beyond the debris of the people we have been and wanted to be? <em><strong>The Loneliest Man in Town<\/strong><\/em>, by <strong>Tizza Covi and Rainer Frimmel<\/strong>, is the film chosen for the <strong>Opening Session of IndieLisboa 2026<\/strong>, which will take place at <strong>Cinema S\u00e3o Jorge<\/strong> on <strong>April 30 at 7:00 p.m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It marks the return of the Italian-Austrian duo to the festival after they were awarded the Distribution Prize in 2010 for <em>La Pivellina<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the <strong>Closing Session<\/strong>, the festival presents <em><strong>The History of Concrete<\/strong><\/em>, the first feature film by American director <strong>John Wilson<\/strong>, known for the comedy series <em>How To with John Wilson<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here, he makes his feature film debut with a bold premise: after attending a Hallmark workshop on how to write and sell a romantic TV comedy, why not try replicating the strategy in a documentary about concrete?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>The History of Concrete <\/em><\/strong>will be screened at <strong>Culturgest <\/strong>on <strong>May 10 at 9:30 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-white-color has-black-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color has-small-font-size has-custom-font-size wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/indielisboa.com\/en\/section\/opening-and-closing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The films<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After all, what do we have left besides records and books?
