The event features&nbsp;<strong>pitching sessions, script consulting, pitch workshops, networking and one-to-one business meetings<\/strong>, bringing together around&nbsp;<strong>150 industry professionals<\/strong>&nbsp;each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Over its past 17 editions, Euro Connection has led to the completion of&nbsp;<strong>142 films<\/strong>, including&nbsp;<strong>77 international co-productions<\/strong>.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Programme Highlights \u2013 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Online script consulting session (December 2025)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pitch training workshop (Clermont-Ferrand, February 2, 2026)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pitching sessions (February 3, 2026)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Facilitated networking and one-to-one meetings (February 3\u20134, 2026)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2026 edition will feature:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>12 European short film projects<\/strong>\u00a0(fiction, animation, creative documentary)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>4 XR projects (AR\/VR\/XR)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>8 Producers in Focus<\/strong>\u00a0invited to present their companies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Eligibility \u2013 Short Film Projects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Producers with a company based in one of the countries associated with Euro Connection 2026 (including Portugal) may apply, provided projects meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Short film (animation, fiction, or creative documentary) of max. 30 minutes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Partial funding secured from an external source (e.g. film fund, broadcaster, grant, award \u2013\u00a0<em>in-kind contributions or producer\u2019s own funds are not eligible<\/em>);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intended as an international co-production;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shooting\/production not to start before June 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applications must be submitted as&nbsp;<strong>a&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lecourt-clermont.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/EC26_appel_ENG.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><strong>single PDF file<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;to the national correspondent in each country, containing the application form and the necessary documents. In Portugal, the associated festivals are&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/indielisboa.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IndieLisboa<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/festival.curtas.pt\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Curtas Vila do Conde<\/a>.<br><br>Joaquim Pedro Pinheiro \u2013&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:joaquim@curtas.pt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">joaquim@curtas.pt<\/a>&nbsp;(Curtas Vila do Conde)<br>Miguel Valverde \u2013&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:miguel.valverde@indielisboa.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">miguel.valverde@indielisboa.com<\/a>&nbsp;(IndieLisboa)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Selection Process &amp; Invitations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each national correspondent will nominate\u00a0<strong>1 finalist project<\/strong>\u00a0(in some cases 2).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A European jury will select up to\u00a0<strong>11 projects<\/strong>\u00a0from these finalists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>Baltic Pitching Forum<\/strong>\u00a0winner and finalists from Denmark and Kosovo (through partner festivals) will also join the line-up.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selected producers will be invited to Clermont-Ferrand with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Travel support (\u20ac160), 4 hotel nights, meals, and full accreditation to the Short Film Market &amp; Festival.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Directors are strongly encouraged to attend, with shared accommodation and free accreditation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Final results will be communicated in&nbsp;<strong>late November 2025<\/strong>&nbsp;and announced publicly on&nbsp;<strong>January 20, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Attending Euro Connection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Pitching sessions (Feb. 3) and Producers in Focus are open to accredited industry participants of the&nbsp;<strong>Short Film Market<\/strong>, with prior online registration (from Jan. 20, 2026).
