This year with 7 feature films and 8 shorts, full of gore, zombies (of course!), suspense and black humour. Among the highlights is El llanto, a thriller of three protagonists, three times, where each woman is haunted by the same invisible presence that is only visible through the camera. A mesmerising work by Pedro Martín-Calero with Exter Esposito (Elite) and Malena Villa (El tema del Verano) – also showing in the same section. Don’t miss Vulcanizadora, a bizarre and slow thriller about two friends who make a fatal pact in a Michigan forest. And MadS, where Romain, immersed in cocaine and euphoria, faces a chaotic and almost apocalyptic journey, filmed in a single shot and with an impressive aesthetic that will leave the most intrepid viewer breathless.

see films

listen on spotify

IndieMusic: a sonic odissey

IndieMusic 2025 presents a vibrant selection of ten films that explore soundscapes from around the world. From flamenco to hip-hop, from Brazilian music to electronic, this edition celebrates the stories that have shaped musical culture, featuring world premieres and portraits of icons. A true cinematic journey.

Among the highlights is La Guitarra Flamenca by Yerai Cortés, which focuses on the life of guitarist Antón Álvarez (also known as C. Tangana) from Alicante, in his effort to promote flamenco. Another prominent screening is the film by Flávia Moraes about Milton Bituca Nascimento, centering on his farewell tour celebrating the career of the pioneering Brazilian musician, and It Was All a Dream (by dream hampton), about the golden age of hip-hop in the U.S., that prolific first half of the 90s.

Still in the U.S., but at another address, we will unveil Sly Lives! aka The Burden of Black Genius, directed by Questlove (The Roots), about the funk legend Sly Stone. Another major highlight is two world premieres: Paraíso by Daniel Mota, which brings the story of rave culture in Portugal, with exclusive footage and interviews with DJs and producers like Yen Sung or DJ Vibe; and Orlando Pantera by Catarina Alves Costa, which explores the legacy of the Cape Verdean musician who passed away at 33, with an innovative approach and contributions from artists such as Mayra Andrade and Princezito.

see films

listen on spotify

Mouth of Madness and IndieMusic have long been the most unique sections of the festival and the ones that give the most goosebumps to their audience.
