IndieLisboa 2021’s awarded films were announced this Monday, September 6, at Culturgest.
\nThe filmmaker Rosine Mbakam wins the Feature Film Grand Prize City of Lisbon with her film Delphine’s Prayers,\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>a raw documentary that portrays a young\u00a0Cameroonian woman carrying a past of suffering, belonging to a generation of young African women destroyed by our patriarchal societies and abandonned to sexual exploration. The International Competition Jury also awarded\u00a0The Inheritance<\/strong><\/em>with the TVCINE Special Award<\/strong>. The Award for Best Portuguese Feature Film<\/strong> was given to Jack’s<\/strong>Ride\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>by Susana Nobre, and the\u00a0Dolce Gusto Award for Best Short Film\u00a0<\/strong>to\u00a0What Remains<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/em>by Daniel Soares. And the Yellow Color New Talen Award<\/strong>revealed Laura Carreira’s “cirurgically precise directing”, with The Shift<\/strong><\/em>.<\/em> The Short Film Grand Prize <\/strong>was given to Keep Shiftin’<\/strong><\/em>by Verena Wagner.<\/p>\n
